Bible Class
Sunday Mornings • 9:15 a.m. – 10:15 a.m.
We hold Bible class every Sunday from 9:15 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. in the worship sanctuary. Pastor Royce leads a study on a portion of the Bible. Our current study is taking us through the book of John.
Anyone is welcome to join. The studies are designed for people of all Bible knowledge levels. We welcome all questions and enjoy hearing different perspectives. Feel free to come and be a passive observer or chime in on the discussion.
Sunday School
Sunday Mornings • 9:15 a.m. – 10:15 a.m.
Sunday School classes are conducted each week from mid-September through mid-May for children ages 2-12. Children are taught Bible lessons, join in craft projects from the day’s lesson, and sing songs to Jesus!
These classes are taught by volunteers from the congregation who love children and desire to spread God’s message of love in Jesus to them. If you are interested in sending your child/children to Sunday School, there is no need for registration. Just bring your child to the school a few minutes early so we can meet him or her. Classes meet from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. each Sunday morning during the school year.
Enrollment is free.

Studying the Bible and learning what it teaches can be intimidating. Pastor Royce would love to introduce (or give you a refresher) on what God’s Word teaches.
This course covers the “basics” of the Bible. We study numerous sections of God’s Word and get an overview of what Scripture teaches. It also serves as the prerequisite for anyone who would like to join our congregation’s church membership. Contact Pastor Royce at 360-350-2652 if you’d like more information.

For kids in 6th-8th grade, we offer a three year intensive study of Luther’s Catechism and the basic doctrines (teachings) of the Bible. At the end of this three year curriculum, students would become confirmed members of our church body and eligible to join in the Lord’s Supper on Sunday mornings.
Do you have a student you would like to enroll in this course? Contact Pastor Royce at 360.438.3732.
Do you or someone you know serve in the Armed Forces?
Located about 20 minutes southwest of Joint Base Lewis McChord (JBLM), Messiah Lutheran serves as a point of contact for WELS members/families who are stationed at the base. Our congregation is blessed to have a number of active and retired members of our armed forces.
If you or someone you know is stationed at JBLM, please feel free to forward their contact information to Pastor Royce. He’d be happy to reach out and welcome you/them to the area!
