Messiah is served by Pastor Chris Royce. Pastor Royce has served Messiah since July 2020.

A Wisconsin native, Pastor Royce grew up attending Lutheran education in the Northeast Wisconsin area. In 2016 he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN (our church body’s designated ministry training school). From 2018-19 he served as a vicar (pastoral intern) at Wisconsin Lutheran Chapel in Madison, WI, a campus ministry for Wisconsin Badgers students. In 2020, he graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, WI and upon graduation was assigned to serve Messiah Lutheran as pastor.

Pastor Royce loves preaching and teaching the good news of Jesus Christ. He especially enjoys ministering to the younger adults (something planted on his heart from his days in campus ministry) as well as incorporating his guitar abilities into the weekly worship music.

Pastor Royce and his wife, Melissa were married in June 2016. They have no children, but are the proud (dog) parents of their Aussiedoodle, Winnie. Pastor and Melissa are excited to be living in the PNW and exploring their new home in their free time.
